This page says what vdesktop.com and vdesktop.com/learn collect, where it goes, and how to get it removed. It covers exactly what these two sites do, and nothing they don’t.
vDesktop, LLC runs both sites. When this page says “we”, that’s who it means. The helloim.ai app has its own privacy page at helloim.ai/privacy.
The short version
- You choose whether we use analytics cookies. We don’t set any analytics or advertising cookies until you accept them in the banner at the bottom of the page. Decline, and we set none. Either way, Cloudflare’s cookieless analytics counts page visits without identifying you.
- If you buy a plan, your card details are entered on Stripe and handled by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number. We keep your email, the plan you chose, and the billing status Stripe sends back, so we can give you access.
- If you chat with Bella, your messages go to an AI service so she can answer. She never asks for your email, and you shouldn’t share anything private with her.
- If you sign in to the course, we use your Google account’s email address to check that you have access. That’s all we use from Google.
- You can ask us to delete any of it. Email hello@vdesktop.com.
Paying for a plan
When you buy a Masterclass plan, Stripe, Inc. processes the payment. vDesktop, LLC is the merchant of record — the seller — for the sale; Stripe is our payment processor.
Your card goes to Stripe, not to us. You enter your card details on Stripe, and Stripe handles them. We never see or store your full card number.
What we collect at purchase. Your email address, which your access is attached to; the plan you chose; and the billing and subscription status Stripe sends back to us. Your receipt and any access notices go to that email.
Tax. Prices are shown without tax. Any applicable US sales tax is worked out from your location and added at checkout, so you see the total before you pay. We collect that tax — calculated for us by Stripe Tax — in the US jurisdictions where we’re registered, and we are responsible for remitting it; we don’t collect tax where we aren’t registered.
Renewing and cancelling. The Member plan is a subscription: it renews until you cancel it, and you can manage or cancel it any time through Stripe’s customer portal. Lifetime is a single one-time purchase, with nothing to renew.
Refunds and terms. Our refund policy is at /refund, and the full terms are at /terms.
How Stripe handles it. Stripe processes your payment under its own privacy terms; on your receipt or card statement the charge appears under our descriptor, “VDESKTOP”. Stripe keeps its own record of the payment.
Chatting with Bella
Bella is an AI assistant, not a person. She answers questions about AI and the course.
Where your messages go. To answer you, each message you send is passed, with the conversation so far, to an AI model provider: Cloudflare Workers AI, running Google’s Gemma 4 model. That provider handles your messages under its own terms: https://developers.cloudflare.com/workers-ai/platform/privacy/. Cloudflare says it does not use this content to train AI models.
What we keep. Nothing. We don’t store your chat messages anywhere: not in a database and not in a log. The conversation exists only in your browser tab, and closing it ends it. If a message contains something that looks like an email address or phone number, we remove it before it reaches the AI provider.
Limits. To prevent abuse and control costs, we limit how many messages can be sent. The limit is counted against a one-way, keyed hash of your IP address (never the address itself), and that count is deleted within 48 hours.
What Bella doesn’t do. She never asks for your email, name or any other personal detail, and she can’t sign you up or take a payment. Please don’t type passwords, account numbers or anything private into the chat. If you do, we can’t promise to catch it before it reaches the AI provider.
Signing in to the course (vdesktop.com/learn)
The AI Masterclass lives at vdesktop.com/learn, and you sign in with Google.
- What we use from Google: your account’s email address, to check that you have access. We don’t use your Google contacts, mail, files or anything else. We ask Google only for the
openidandemailscopes, so Google doesn’t share your name or profile photo with us. - If your email isn’t on our list of learners, you’re turned away. We log the time and a short reason code for each sign-in, admitted or refused, but never your email address. That log is kept for at most 90 days.
- Staying signed in: we set a sign-in cookie, used only to keep you signed in. It lasts 24 hours, or until you sign out.
- Your lesson progress is saved in your own browser, not with us. Clearing your browser’s data for the site erases it.
- Signing in is Google only. There is no emailed sign-in link for the course.
Analytics
Google Analytics (only if you accept). We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used and to measure our advertising. It sets cookies in your browser and sends your usage to Google, and that data can be used to measure and build audiences for our ads on Google’s platforms. It is off by default: the Google Analytics code does not load and no request is sent to Google until you choose Accept in the cookie banner at the bottom of the page. If you Decline, or simply ignore the banner, Google Analytics never loads and sets no cookies. You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser, which removes your saved choice and shows the banner again. Google handles this data under its own privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy. Our Google Analytics measurement ID is G-V4BFB916XF. The same Accept also switches on our Google Ads tag (AW-18519977588), which tells Google Ads when a visit from one of our ads leads to a sign-up; it loads only with Google Analytics, after you accept, and never if you decline.
Cloudflare Web Analytics (always on, no cookies). Separately, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits to pages. It runs whatever you choose above. In Cloudflare’s own words, it “does not use any client-side state, such as cookies or localStorage, to collect usage metrics”, and it doesn’t “fingerprint” individuals by their IP address or browser details. We see totals, such as how many people viewed a page, not who you are.
Hosting
Both sites run behind Cloudflare, which sees the IP address of every request, as every web host does. vdesktop.com/learn is served from a server vDesktop runs itself, reached through Cloudflare. That server logs refused requests (time, page, and the visitor’s IP address) for at most 90 days, and sign-in events (time and a reason code, never an email address) for at most 90 days.
Our fonts are hosted by us, not loaded from Google or another font service. Some course pages load small icons from markdalton.com, another site we run.
Who else handles your data
- Cloudflare hosts the sites and provides the cookieless page-visit analytics.
- Cloudflare (Workers AI, running Google’s Gemma 4 model) answers Bella’s chat messages. It doesn’t keep them or train on them.
- Stripe (Stripe, Inc.) is our payment processor: it handles your card details and, through Stripe Tax, calculates the applicable US sales tax we collect. The charge shows under our descriptor, “VDESKTOP”.
- Google (Google Analytics and Google Ads) measures site usage and our advertising — but only if you accept analytics cookies in the banner.
- Google handles course sign-in.
- Google (Google Workspace) delivers our emails.
We don’t sell your data, and we don’t show ads on this site. If you accept analytics cookies, your Google Analytics data may be used to measure and target our own advertising on Google’s platforms. If you decline, none of your data is used for advertising.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, send you a copy, or delete it.
- How to ask: email hello@vdesktop.com from the address you signed up with. That’s how we confirm it’s you.
- How long we take: we’ll answer within one month.
- What deletion keeps: a record that you unsubscribed, so we never email you again. That record is a one-way, keyed hash of your address, not the address itself. Nothing else.
- Where your data is processed: our services run on Cloudflare and with the providers named above, so your data may be processed in the United States.
- Complaints: if you’re in the EU or UK, you can complain to your local data protection authority.
How long we keep things
- Purchase records: your email, the plan you chose and the billing status from Stripe are kept for as long as you have access, and afterwards only as long as we need them for tax and accounting. Stripe keeps its own record of the payment under its terms.
- Bella chats: not stored. The message-limit count (a keyed hash of your IP address) is deleted within 48 hours.
- Course sign-in: your sign-in cookie lasts 24 hours. The sign-in log (time and reason code, no email address) is kept for at most 90 days. Apart from the list of people we’ve given access to, we keep no learner record.
Children
These sites aren’t for children. You must be at least 13 to buy a plan, chat with Bella or take the course in the US, and at least 16 where local law sets a higher age. If we learn that we hold data from a child under that age, we’ll delete it.
Changes
If this changes materially, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
