Employees
AI employees from vDesktop: one job each.
An AI employee is an assistant you build in Claude to do one real job in your business, like triaging your inbox, writing up meeting notes or chasing overdue invoices. vDesktop has written up 22 of them, grouped by the part of the business they help. Each one comes with its job, a written list of what it never does, and a first week laid out day by day. What is an AI employee?
We wrote each of these for a job a small business usually does by hand, or doesn’t get to at all. You decide how far each one goes, and you can start at draft-only, where it does the reading and drafting and you do the sending. Open one to see exactly what it does, what it never does, and what its first week looks like.
Where to start. If email eats your week, start with Customer Care Lead or Appointment Setter. If meetings do, start with Meeting Scribe. If getting paid does, start with Collections Clerk. Pick one job, build it, and check its work before you add another.

- One job, plus a written list of things it never does. The list matters as much as the job.
- It drafts. You send. You decide how far it goes, and you can start at draft-only. Later you decide whether a low-risk job can move up to Supervised.
- Each has a first week laid out day by day, so you check its work before you trust it with more.
They run on Claude. Some lessons need your own paid Claude plan, billed by Anthropic. The full versions, with setup, are in the course.
